Ancestral Line was founded by Séamus O'Donoghue, an extensive researcher and author
whose works have been published under his own name, and the pseudonym A.J. Carron.
He grew up in the West of Ireland, in a little place called Poulaphuca in county Clare, and was
educated at the local primary school in Ballynacally village and at St. Flannan's College, Ennis.
He holds diplomas in Creative Writing and Communication Skills, is a member of the Clare Roots Society, and has achieved CIW and ACA accreditation
As a former Artefact Cataloguer for a London museum, and a licensed and skilled
Commercial Aircraft Technician for 18 years, he applies the high-quality work ethics
associated with these industries to Ancestral Line's research, presentations, and reports.
His interest in genealogy and family history began many years ago when he decided to research
his own ancestral lines. Since then he has helped countless people trace their ancestors, both
as researcher and genealogy consultant.
The passion and knowledge he has acquired encouraged him to offer
Ancestral Line's services to the general public.
